Five Fabulous “Last Minute” Gifts

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas …

But if you’re trying to avoid the crowds for safety reasons (more so than previous years) and still haven’t found that perfect gift for Saturday, never fear! I’ve got some options for you!

1. Gift an eBook

Go to the Amazon website and click on the ebook you want to give as a gift.

Under the option to click to buy, you’ll find “Buy for others.” Click on that and then click the button “Buy for others” (yes, it says the same thing) and provide the recipient’s email address. Baddaboom!

I suggest “Amy’s Christmas Wish,” Seralynn Lewis’s fifth book in the Women of Worthy Series, but can read as a stand-alone. An inspirational romance with a touch of mystery and suspense. (note: this is an affiliate link)

2. Gift a Gift Card

If you’re nervous a card won’t make it in time through snail mail, send it to their email address.

Plus, this is even easier than gifting an ebook! Go to the Gift Card tab on Amazon and follow the prompts. Plus, on Amazon you can schedule the day you want it sent. Apparently, you can also text a gift card! Who knew?

(Psst: I’ve once egifted a gift card through the Messenger app on Facebook!)

3. Give to Charity

You can have the recipient emailed directly from the charity or …

If you’re seeing the recipient in-person this weekend, print out how much you’ve donated in so-and-so’s name with a fun photo and the charity’s logo.

(I’ve done this a bunch a times! Always brings tears to my mom’s eyes. Those elephants, you know?)

Note: Doesn’t have to be World Wildlife Fund. Think St. Jude’s Research Hospital, World Vision … any organization works. A simple search in your browser will pull up a list of an ideas for you.

4. Buy a Membership to a Museum

My aunt gifted a year-long membership to the Shedd Aquarium for one Christmas–and it was great! An awesome (and super easy) idea, especially for young families who are complaining about getting too many toys every year.

Memberships don’t come cheap, but you’re buying an experience, after all. Those are priceless!

5. Print up a List of Jokes or Sayings

This requires a bit of time, since you’ll be looking everything up and is super cheap, but this gift is full of heart. Especially if you personalize it.

The sky’s the limit too.

We made a “Dad Joke Book” for a baby shower gift and another time a book of jokes for one of my son’s friends for his birthday. (We do a lot of jokes, apparently!)

A list of Bible promises is a great gift, especially for new graduates and newly weds.

Or a few popular recipes you can dig up.

Or some sayings from famous scientists …

Bonus points if you frame the list : )

All that said …

With your list taken care of, here’s hoping you have a very merry Christmas and get to spend some good quality time (or FaceTime) with those you love.

Your turn: Do you know of any awesome gifts that can be purchased or made in your pajamas? I’m always looking for ideas!

These are great ideas and, yes, the thoughtfulness of donating to my favorite charity brought tears to my eyes. A gift does not need a box or wrapping paper, it just needs love.
